Darlington County Courthouse 1 Public Square, Darlington SC 29532 Overview: The city of Darlington is the county seat of Darlington County, which developed from a Colonial land grant settled in the 1730s by Welsh colonists from Delaware and Pennsylvania. A circuit court was established here in 1800, and a succession of courthouses have existed on this site. The modern Darlington County Courthouse was completed in 1964.
