Site Description
Reminiscent of the woodlands and swamplands that covered much of the Pee Dee Region from the time that it was inhabited solely by Native Americans through the 19th century, Little Pee Dee State Park is an 835-acre park managed by the South Carolina Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. A central feature is a 54-acre lake available for swimming, boating and fishing, as well as campsites, picnic grounds and hiking trails.

Adjacent is the Little Pee Dee State Park Bay Heritage Preserve, which preserves 301 acres of forest and cypress swampland as a wildlife sanctuary. A key feature is preservation of a natural Carolina bay. A map, trail guide and useful information about the park may be found at the link above.
