Site Description
The L.W. Paul Living History Farm, located north of Conway on U.S. 701 at Harris Shortcut Road, is a reconstruction of a Southern, family farm, typical of the era between 1900 and 1955. Seasonal activities include plowing with a team of mules, smoking hams, making lye soap, grinding grits, canning vegetables, setting and cropping tobacco, blacksmithing, feeding livestock, milking cows and harvesting row crops.
Access and Admission
A branch of the Horry County Museum, the L.W. Paul Living History Farm is designed to provide visitors with a hands-on exposure to the Southern, small-farm lifestyle common in the first half of the 20th century. Events at the farm are seasonal and visitors are encouraged to check the Horry County Museum website link above for current activities. Site Access: Public
